Jessica Lamb
Assistant Director of Water Communications and Operations
Jessica is the Assistant Director for Water Communications and Operations at EPIC. She received her MS degree in Communication from North Carolina State University and her BS degree in Communication Studies from Appalachian State University. She has experience working with many purpose-driven organizations. This includes nonprofits, public service and research centers, and organizations across the United Nations System. While her primary focus is in communication and operations, she also has experience in organizational design, change management, talent optimization, and more. Jessica takes a holistic approach to her work - ensuring that not only are diverse voices at the table, but everyone’s voice is heard and understood. She sees her greatest strength as the ability to enable and empower others - providing the information, tools, and resources they need to be successful in their work. Jessica believes that communication is both an art and a tool - one with an immense power that can enact meaningful change across organizations, communities, and the world. She also believes that access to clean, reliable, and affordable water is an inherent right for everyone, everywhere. She is excited to contribute her skills and knowledge to support the amazing work being done by the Water Team as they build an equitable water future.
Get to Know Me Further
While my professional background is in communication and operations, I have always been passionate about the environment - particularly conservation and preservation efforts. Some of my favorite places in the world are national parks. So far, I’ve explored 38 US National Parks and over 180 National Park Service units. While they are incredibly difficult to rank, my top three parks are: Glacier, Yellowstone, and Katmai. I am married to a geologist / environmental consultant (who ROCKS!). We are originally from North Carolina, but lived in Montana for several years, and are now based in Virginia. In our spare time - we enjoy exploring as many parks, museums, and historical sites as we can.
